Inspired by the personal journey and tumultuous neuroscience career of writer/director Shira Rosenzweig, “The Last Girl” combines sci-fi elements with nuanced character drama, dark humor and a powerful punchline. It explores the intricacies of human nature and the moral ambiguities that often blur the lines between a "good" person and a "bad" one. The film doesn’t shy away from an environmentalist agenda and highlights that even in this digital age, a small act of human kindness can have lasting effects.
Shira Rosenzweig is a filmmaker and a neuroscientist based in Los Angeles, California. She was born and raised in Israel, studied in Canada
